Gender Empowerment – Intern Project

Like previous years, this year too, HRCP received a number of very interesting interns whose research and work ranged on a number of topics. Please see the Interns 2007 link to read more about this years work.

Zenobia Azeem/Benazir Shah Project - main imgHere are some beautiful pictures that were taken while filming for short video clips based on violence against women. This was the project of our intern Zenobia Azeem, who is a student at McGill University, Canada. She worked in collaboration with Benazir Shah, who is a film student at Beaconhouse National University (BNU). Zenobia’s research looked into the role of men in determining a change in thinking and towards gender empowerment.

There were a lot of obstacles behind the project, the biggest one being the fact that Zenobia and Benazir received absolutely no funding and had to manage it within their own limits.
