Mush is nothing but a “not very sophisticated con man” using the terrorism “bogey” and “Pakistan First” as his shields…everything happened on his watch, “in total control” or “out of control”…In summary he is basically a stupid man with limited intellect, limited understanding, pretending to be a great strategist and the nation’s saviour. His actions remind me of the old army adage …. “Beware of the stupid and hardworking officer; he is a menace, search him out and destroy him mercilessly, for he will lead you to defeat….” Unfortunately Musharraf’s stupidity has set us back a couple of decades and leading us into a miserable abyss. Let him also not forget that in the not too distant future, we may witness the equally distressful sight of his wife Sehba, daughter and daughter in law being slapped, kicked, punched and flung around like rag dolls, mercilessly thrown to the ground by police and military goons, as was done to Imran Khan’s sisters, when he is no longer in power, and has the guts to stay back in Pakistan and not to a comfortable Dallas Ranch. The perception is that he is universally disliked if not hated amongst the rank and file of the Pakistan army, and his continuous actions, misrule and staying in power may stretch the integrity of this only stable institutions and, may cause this institution to explode with all its tragic and horrifying consequences, for Pakistan. What a tragedy. How he lulled and cheated us into believing he was “our…….”. The man who would take us forward, a fresh spring after the misrule and corruption of Benazir and Nawaz Sharif. All Pakistan needed was an honest, uncompromising leader, even if it be a dictator, however distasteful the thought, and all we got was a power hungry megalomanic, womanizing, drunkard, masquerading as our saviour. Look at his track record of dismal and pathetic decisions…Kargil, the 2002 Referendum farce, trucking with the Chaudries, backtracking on taking off his Uniform in 2004, the CJ fiasco, disowning his own NAB when they got too close to the truth, allowing Lal Masjid to reach the stage with ISI next door, and now the mother of all his decisions…a Martial Law, against himself and the collapse of his own dispensation.

Our heads hang in shame at the disgrace he has brought on the Nation’s honour and dignity, on quelling with fascist Hitlerism the first oh so welcome signs of a civil society showing some signs of spine after decades of servility, of a supreme court, despite running somewhat amok, standing up to dictatorial edicts, of having the International community clubbing us with the likes of Zimbabwe, a nation devoid of even the semblance of rule of law, basic decency, personal integrity ( lost count the number of times he has lied in public)
